Joy Baker studied Fine Art, Graphic Design and Fashion Design New York City. She exhibited and sold her paintings in galleries in Coral Gables, Miami, & N. Miami,Florida, Washington, DC, Maryland, New York, NY, Brooklyn, NY, and San Francisco, CA. She also taught fine art, participated in art programs for young children, teenagers, and seniors.As a partner, owner, designer of Studio J, in Washington, DC she created one-of-a kind custom clothing. Under the name of Joy Designs she created costume jewelry in NYC. She created mono prints with Sarah Sills, wrote and illustrated "The Adventures of Isabella & Nathaniel", and is participating in projects and challenges by The Brooklyn Library Sketchbook Project while teaching at The Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA. |
