Joy Baker studied Fine Art, Graphic Design and Fashion Design New York City. She exhibited and sold her paintings in galleries in Coral Gables, Miami, & N. Miami,Florida, Washington, DC, Maryland, New York, NY, Brooklyn, NY, and San Francisco, CA. She also taught fine art, participated in art programs for young children, teenagers, and seniors. As a partner, owner, designer of Studio J, in Washington, DC she created one-of-a kind custom clothing. Under the name of Joy Designs she created costume jewelry in NYC. She created mono prints with Sarah Sills, wrote and illustrated "The Adventures of Isabella & Nathaniel", and is participating in projects and challenges by The Brooklyn Library Sketchbook Project. During 2020 the DeYoung Art Museum challenged artists to submit original work based on their prompts. Images and explanations can be seen under prints and works on paper. |
